The folks over at GSMArena have got an inside tip on Samsung’s upcoming Note 2 and according to their source, the phone will indeed sport a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display. By the sound of it, it still seems like Samsung is sticking to the Pen-tile matrix display instead of the RGB variant used in the S II. Apart from the screen size, the design is said to be heavily inspired from the Galaxy S III so we can expect a similar form factor with heavily rounded edges and pebble like design. The Note 2’s launch date also seems to have been pushed forward to September instead of the previously rumoured October time frame. We don’t have any more details on the handset but users should expect an improved 8MP BSI sensor, one of the new Exynos SoCs (dual or quad is unknown as of now) and of course Ice Cream Sandwich. It would be really great if Samsung can launch the phone with Jelly Bean, although that seems a little unlikely. It's a larger display but hopeful not a larger phone - Mock up
