After almost a whole year, we finally have a name for Double Fine’s upcoming adventure game. The company announced at the ongoing PAX that the game, funded through Kickstarter, is named Broken Age. Double Fine has also started pre-orders of the game, costing $15 (approx. Rs 814) for the standard pre-order with beta access, or $30 (approx 1628) for the “backer’s” pre-order with access to extra goodies like the soundtrack. You can pre-order the game from the official website. Here is the official description of the game: "Broken Age is a point-and-click adventure telling the stories of a young boy and girl leading parallel lives. The girl has been chosen by her village to be sacrificed to a terrible monster--but she decides to fight back. Meanwhile, a boy on a spaceship is living a solitary life under the care of a motherly computer, but he wants to break free to lead adventures and do good in the world. Adventures ensue."Broken Age was the first major game to be funded on Kickstarter. While there had been other smaller games funded through the crowdfunding website, Double Fine was the first to have a major personality, Tim Schafer, behind it. This helped the campaign for Double Fine's own adventure game to reach (at the time) record-breaking targets. Click here for full story
