In November, RCom has announced acquisition of SSTL in an all-stock deal valued at around Rs 4,500 crore. The deal will bring increase RCom‘s subscriber base to 118 million.
SSTL made investments of Rs 49.6 crore (USD 8 million) during the first quarter of 2015. Debt from banks and financial institutions stood at Rs 3,587 crore at the end of March 31.
SSTL has consistently maintained that the pricing of 800 Mhz spectrum at Rs 3,646 crore per MHz, SSTL said in a statement. According to sources, the company has decided not to participate in the next month's auction due to these reasons.
Rajasthan High Court on January 13 dismissed the plea of minority shareholder Jindal Securities and three others seeking listing of SSTL in a fixed timeframe and exit from the company at a pre-determined price.
