The panel has alleged the loss of about Rs 60,000 crore due to illegal mining and violation of mining rules to gain profits by miners in the state.
There are no immediate front runners yet. But only three names (bidders) have come up repeatedly - JSW Steel, Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) and Aditya Birla Group-owned Essel Mining & Industries Limited (EMIL).
Power plants are also allowed to sell only 65 percent of their production to state discosm via a competitive bidding. Earlier, power plants used to sell 85 percent of their production to state discoms.
