In March last year, the Supreme Court directed transferring Rs 5,000 crore from Sahara-Sebi refund account to the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS).
Sebi to ask Saharas about unverified investors

Supreme Court had asked two Sahara firms -- Sahara India Real Estate Corp Ltd (SIRECL) and Sahara Housing Investment Corp Ltd (SHICL) -- to refund through Sebi more than Rs 24,000 crore to over three crore bondholders with interest.
