Transportation app Ola today said it will "substantially" expand the number of cities offering 'one-way' trip for its outstation offering over the next two months.
Ola has reduced fares across 7 cities where 'Share' is available. The highest reduction has been done in Mumbai and Bengaluru, where the fare has been revised to about Rs 3 per km.
In the country‘s fledgling but growing taxi market, cab aggregators and carpooling companies are increasingly putting in place checks to ensure safety of their customers.
"Shared mobility is the future of transportation in India and Ola Share has enabled citizens to share their rides and pay only a fraction of the actual trip cost while contributing towards reduction in vehicular pollution and congestion in their city," Raghuvesh Sarup, Head of Categories at Ola, said.
