Two BJP MPs, Pratap Chandra Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput, were injured during the scuffle outside Parliament and are currently in the ICU at Delhi's RML hospital.
BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi alleged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi pushed him during protests outside Parliament, leading to a head injury. Sarangi claimed that while standing on the stairs, another MP was pushed by Gandhi and fell on him, causing him to fall as well. Sarangi was taken to the hospital after sustaining the injury. In response, Rahul Gandhi denied the allegations, stating that BJP MPs were trying to block his entry into Parliament. He claimed the altercation occurred as BJP MPs pushed and threatened him while he was attempting to enter. Gandhi downplayed the incident, saying they were not affected by the jostling and emphasized that Congress had the right to enter the Parliament. He also highlighted a broader issue, accusing the BJP of undermining the Constitution and disrespecting the memory of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The incident sparked fresh controversy amid ongoing protests between BJP and INDIA bloc MPs.
For the MSMEs (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises) sector to thrive in the international market there is a need to focus on three important factors reducing capital cost, power cost, and logistic cost, Sarangi said.
Emphasising that the strength of Indian supply chains should be utilised to full capacity, Sarangi said the MSME sector can play a "crucial role" in realising the vision of a "self-reliant India".
Sarangi’s comments are being seen as a direct attack on Samajwadi Party legislator Shafiqur Rahman Barq refusing to chant Vande Mataram after taking oath.
