West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday greeted the "great nation" of Britain as she landed here on a five-day visit seeking to woo foreign investment for her state.
A meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron is planned for tomorrow and likely to take place before the official unveiling ceremony for a statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Parliament Square.
On March 13, he will hold a bilateral meeting with his British counterpart and Chancellor of Exchequer George Osborne. The two will discuss various bilateral and multilateral economic and financial issues. Both the leaders will also discuss the economic situation in the two countries as well as overall global economic situation, it said.
