Nephew, son, Sita, Ram all get weaponised as the two sides slug it out for primacy in the Assembly polls, which will take place only in April-May. In 2016, the TMC had retained power by winning 211 seats in the 294-seat Assembly, while the BJP won just three seats. The Congress and Left won 76 seats together.
If the BJP leadership wants to make its presence known in Kerala, there are numerous developmental, environmental and political issues that need attention — attacking a highly-respected intellectual is not the way.
"He (Sen) stays abroad, he is not aware of the ground realities. It will be good for everybody if he continues to stay abroad," Dilip Ghosh said.
