Keeping the young as its primary target Maruti Suzuki, India‘s largest passenger car maker, on Friday launched the much-awaited premium urban compact vehicle Ignis priced at an introductory price of Rs 4.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The hatchback crossover segment in India started about a year back and since then it has caught on the fancy of the Indian consumers. So much so that it has even forced global manufacturing giants such as Volkswagen, Fiat, Toyota and Hyundai to join the bandwagon and cater to the whims of the Indians.
