Libyan rebels made a renewed effort to push towards the oil port of Brega on Saturday while Muammar Gaddafi's forces pounded besieged Misrata to the west with rockets and mortars, insurgents said.
Pro-Gaddafi forces today kept up the momentum of their advances recapturing another key town of Brega, whose fall brought the major oil producing region back under the government control as NATO finally took full command of operations in the strife-torn country.
A ray of hope has emerged that maybe some resolution could be found to the Libyan crisis. Katerina Dalacoura, Lecturer at the London School of Economics, in an interview with CNBC-TV18’s Menaka Doshi, gave her view on how this situation is going to develop over the course of the next few days.
