The government on June 5 sent a sharply-worded final notice to Twitter to follow the new IT rules, failing which the social media platform "shall be liable for consequences" under the law. In the notice, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeiTY) said Twitter had failed to comply with the Information Technology (Intermediary guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. Will Cathcart, WhatsApp CEO confirmed to WABetainfo that some promising new features are on the way to the chat platform. Among them is the ability to access your account from different linked devices without compromising the end-to-end encryption that the service is known for. The interesting thing about this feature is that it works offline without the need for an internet connection on the main device. Facebook-owned messaging platform WhatsApp has changed its stance on persistent updates on the new privacy policy that came into effect on May 15. The Centre in a petition to the Delhi High Court on June 3 said that WhatsApp is spamming users with notifications to try and coerce them into accepting the new policies and transfer the existing user base before the personal data protection (PDP) bill comes into effect. Xiaomi has confirmed that the Mi 11 Ultra will be delayed in India due to "unforeseen circumstances" that were beyond the company's control. Since its launch on April 23, the Mi 11 Ultra has never gone on sale in India and the wait has grown longer with shipments delayed for an unspecified period.
