The Sonet gets three engine options to choose from – a 1.2-litre petrol, 1-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. There is a bigger choice in transmission options however. These options include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and a 7-speed DCT. There is also a 6-speed intelligent manual transmission (iMT) available. And for the first time in the segment, the diesel engine will be offered with the option of a 6-speed automatic gearbox. (Image Source: Kia)

Kia has not announced any prices as of now, but expect a range between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 10 lakh. The Sonet is ‘Made in India’ and will be exported to other markets around the world. Launch of the new Kia Sonet is expected to be towards late August or early September. (Image Source: Kia)
