Canada can become the new Shangri-La for Indian IT
The idea of looking away from the US is not confined to non-US companies. A few Silicon Valley startups are thinking of shifting a part of their development teams to Canada.

When India started opening up in the eighties one of the first steps it took to join the global economic mainstream was to get itself rated by default. Not yet ready to go for a direct sovereign rating, it let State Bank of India obtain a rating from one of the international rating agencies. Since no entity could get a better rating than the country to which it belonged, state-owned SBI’s rating would become India’s too.
