US Vice President JD Vance got a traditional Rajasthani welcome at the Amber Fort in Jaipur. Vance visited the Amber Fort along with his wife Usha Vance and his three children, on Tuesday morning.
Visuals of his welcome at the Amber fort showed how he was greeted in a traditional Rajasthani way. Beautifully decked elephants greeted Vance and his family. On the other side, they were greeted with traditional dance performances.
As they entered the main courtyard, Jaleb Chowk, two decorated female elephants named Chanda and Mala greeted them by raising their trunks, PTI reported.
PTI further said that the Vances "witnessed a cultural performance featuring folk dances, including Kacchi Ghodi, Ghoomar and Kalbeliya, offering a glimpse into the vibrant culture of Rajasthan".

JD Vance visits Jaipur
JD Vance and his family spent the night at Jaipur's luxury Rambagh Palace after they arrived in Delhi on April 21. Visuals of the family leaving Rambagh Palace surfaced on the internet earlier on Tuesday.

On April 21, Vance and his family arrived in India for their four day visit. They will be flying back to the US on April 24. On Monday, Vance and his family visited the Akshardham Temple and were there for about an hour.
After that, they visited a crafts emporium in Janpath. The emporium authorities said that the visit was smooth and that the US Vice President also bought some things during his visit to the emporium with his family.
Reports have said that Vance will also be visiting the Hawa Mahal today. On April 23, he and his family would be leaving for Agra and will visit the Taj Mahal. Yesterday, the US Vice President was hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for dinner at his residents. Reports said that the two leaders connected on US-India bilateral relations.
