The WTO initially projected continued global trade expansion for 2025 and 2026, but the trade war instigated by Trump has forced a significant revision of these forecasts. According to the report, trade in goods worldwide could contract by 1.5% if Trump moves forward with his strictest tariff measures, as businesses grapple with uncertainty.
