CBSE Board 10th Result 2020 Declared: CBSE 10th Result 2020 declared at board's official website cbseresults.nic.in. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced results for Class 10 board exams on today. A total of 91.46% students have passed CBSE class 10th exam this year. Last year, the pass percent was 91.10. Guwahati has recorded the lowest pass percent at 79.12 among all states. Trivandrum has recorded the highest pass percent at 99.28 among all state. This year also, girls have outscored boys in CBSE 10th result. The pass percent of girls is 93.31. Pass percentage of boys is 90.14. Kendriya Vidyalaya has recorded the highest pass percent at 99.23 followed by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalya at 98.66. Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank today announced the Class 10 CBSE Results 2020. He congratulated the students for their achievements.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many exams were cancelled. As per the Board, this year the marks will be evaluated based on the ‘average of best of three subjects’ for which the student has already given the exam. If the student has appeared for only three papers, the assessment will be made on the basis of the best of two. If the students have appeared for only one or two exams, the marks obtained in the internal or practicals will be considered. The students need at least 33 percent marks in each subject to pass the CBSE Class 10th exams. For subject with both practical and theory, students need to pass both.

Students who fail in one or two subjects will have another chance and can can attempt through supplementary exams. The dates of these exams are not yet out.

In comparison to the recently released CBSE Class 12th results, the pass percentage with the new evaluation process had increased by 5 percent with the last years pass percentage was 83.40 percent.

CBSE 10th Result 2020: Check pass percentage of government and aided schools
The pass percentage of government-run schools is at 94.94 and govt-aided schools at 91.56 percent. The Central Tibetan School Administration schools were at third place with 98.23 percent pass percentage, while independent schools or private schools registered a pass percentage of 88.22 percent.

The average pass percentage of Delhi stands at 85.86%. While this is lesser than the national average, the capital has continued the upward trend in pass percentages. Last year, it recorded a pass percentage of 80.97%.

Out of the 186889 students who took the CBSE 10th exam in Delhi-East regions, 160324 passed making a total pass percent of 85.79.
Two Delhi regions (West and East) stood at 14th and 15th positions while recording a pass percentage of 85.96% and 85.79% respectively. The average pass percentage of Delhi stands at 85.86%. While this is lesser than the national average, the capital has continued the upward trend in pass percentages. Last year, it recorded a pass percentage of 80.97%.

The Patna region (Bihar and Jharkhand) recorded an overall pass percentage of 90.69% in Class 10 , which is 1.17 % lower than previous year’s 91.86%. Patna region stood at rank 10 among all 16 regions.
