Chief Minister Atishi claimed on Thursday that a Delhi Police team had reached Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann's home in the national capital for a raid.

Taking to social media platform X, she wrote, "BJP people are distributing money, shoes, sheets in broad daylight - that is not visible. Instead they go to raid the residence of an elected Chief Minister."

“Wow BJP! People of Delhi will give their answer on 5th,” she added.

Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) claimed that a team of Election Commission (EC) officials also arrived at Mann's Kapurthala House residence in Delhi for search.

A team of the Election Commission (EC) officials was present at Mann's Kapurthala House to conduct a search at the premises, AAP said in a statement.

Reacting to the development, Bhagwant Mann said that BJP's Parvesh Verma is openly distributing cash but EC can't see him. "He tweets and informs where he will distribute money. But raid is being conducted at the residence of Bhagwant Mann, Arvind Kejriwal, Saurabh Bharadwaj," he stated.

The development comes a day after a private vehicle bearing the "Punjab government" sticker and registration number of the state was seized by the Delhi Police.

Delhi Police has registered a case after the vehicle parked near the Punjab Bhawan was found loaded with liquor, cash and election publicity materials of the AAP.

The developments come in the backdrop of the preparations for the Assembly polls in the national capital, scheduled to be held in a single phase on February 5. The counting of votes will take place three days later.
