The Union cabinet approved a central scheme for providing drones to Women's self-help groups.

According to the scheme, drones will be provided to 15,000 selected women's self-help groups during 2023-24 and 2025-2026, which they can use to rent out to farmers for agricultural uses.

The cabinet has made an outlay of Rs 1,261 crore for the project.
