US Kathak maestro, tap dancers to enthral city audience

Coimbatore, Feb 8 (PTI): U.S. Kathak maestro Pandit Chitresh and Emmy-ward winning tap dancer Jason Samuels Smith will perform in the city on February 12. The duo will be accompanied by Indian and Western Musicians during their performance, titled 'Fastest Feet in Rhythm.' The dancers are visiting India with the aim of promoting mutual understanding and cultural exchange through performance and workshops,Shnna Deitz Surendra, Cultural Affairs Officer, U.S. Consulate General, Chennai, said in a release here today. "In this programme, we aim to bring together diverse audiences while highlighting the cultural values, we have in common," it said.
