Man held in MP with opium worth Rs 9 lakh

Mandsaur (MP), Feb 9 (PTI) Police have arrested one person and seized more than 28 kg of opium from him near here in Madhya Pradesh. Acting on inputs provided by an informer, a police team raided the fields of one Yasin Khan near Sitamau yesterday. More than 28 kg of opium was seized from the spot and one Gopal Singh Rajput was arrested, police said today. Khan managed to flee, they said, adding value of the opium in the international market was around Rs 9 lakh. Police have registered a case and further investigations were on. PTI AS RSY
