    MLAs express shock over death of acid attack victim

    Karaikal, Feb 12 (PTI) MLAs of Karaikal district have expressed grief and shock over the death of the 23-year-old-woman, a victim of acid attack at a private hospital today. Karaikal South MLA AMH Nazeem expressed deep sorrow over the death. "The girl has undergone tremendous suffering and I am deeply distressed," he told PTI. Karaikal North MLA PRN Thirumurugan also expresed sorrow over the woman's death. Vinodhini, a B.Tech graduate working in a private firm, had gone home for Diwali celebrations when she faced an acid attack at a bus terminus at Karaikal on November 14 by a construction worker whose overtures she rejected. The accused Suresh has already been arresed. PTI CORR RC
