Panaji, Aug 10 (PTI) Bosch Packaging Technology today inaugurated its new manufacturing facility with a capital investment of Rs 34 crore at Verna Industrial estate, 15 kms away from here. The company's facility is spread over 33,000 square metres and is expected to fulfill the capacity expansion and increasing demand of India's fast growing packaging market as well as international market. Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar officially inaugurated the facility. Bosch Packaging Technology, Germany's President Friedbert Klenfenz, said that the new plant will aim at increased localisation of new packaging machine production and make world class German technology affordable and available to the Indian market. Equipped with latest testing infrastructure, the new facility has sophisticated test rooms and equipments which can be used to test packaging products and product parts. "The new plant also has facility for internal and external training, where customers can familiarise themselves with operation and maintenance of packaging machines," he said. "This new facility will bring our new global offerings to India. It will also contribute greatly in pursuing our future plans and consolidating our leadership position in the Indian and international markets. Hence, this is not just a Bosch India milestone, but a global one too," he said. PTI RPS NP
