Vivo is gearing up to introduce the X200 Ultra and the X200s smartphones, along with tablets and wearable devices, in China on April 21. Now, the Vivo X200 Ultra is confirmed to come with a photography kit and a compatible external lens co-engineered with Zeiss. This external telephoto lens is said to increase the zoom range and improve the image quality of the photos clicked with the smartphone.
Vivo X200 Ultra confirmed to launch with a photography kit
Vivo’s Product Manager, Han Boxiao, through a new Weibo post, confirmed that the upcoming Vivo X200 Ultra will launch with an external lens that will work with the Photography Kit. The photography kit will feature a specially designed bracket to provide better camera stability for users. It will also come equipped with a dedicated video recording button, enabling one-click video recording for added convenience.
Further, the telephoto periscope lens will have a 200MP resolution, enabling a 200mm focal length and an f/2.3 aperture on the smartphone alongside 8.7x optical zoom support. Vivo has also confirmed that the external lens accessory will deliver an 800mm or 35x optical zoom, and a 1600mm or 70x zoom, which is equivalent to 30x zoom without any external lens.
Moreover, the photography kit accessory features a camera grip with a dedicated shutter and video recording buttons, a scroll wheel for enhanced zooming, and a Type-C connection to power it via the smartphone. It is also confirmed to pack a 2,300mAh battery and a shoulder strap loop for added convenience. The Vivo X200 Ultra is likely to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and may include a 2K display enhanced with Zeiss Master Colour technology.
