Shahina Mukadam, Independent Market Expert told CNBC-TV18, "I personally also hold India Cements and I would advise to remain invested. While the quarter numbers were not very good, I mean they were pretty disappointing I think it is more to do with the weakness that we have seen in overall. Realisations also have been muted and prices also have been pretty muted. I think the overall sector is showing a good upmove and uptake."
She further added, "In terms of pure valuations I think India Cements stands way ahead of the other companies in the space. Also I believe the quarter numbers were weak on account of certain factors like they are restructuring their balance sheet, merging some of their subsidiaries. I think all these things are more like a one-time thing, so maybe I would overlook the weak quarter and hold on for the medium to longer term."
