Ashu Madan of Religare Securities told CNBC-TV18, "For long-term, I do not see any big move expected in TCS because all said and done, there are tailwinds in the industry. There is a slowdown in the IT spending also, rupee appreciating. So everything put together, I do not see any major thing happening as far as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) or overall, just because probably temporarily it is subdued because of the Infosys thing or it could be vice-versa also because Infosys is down."
"People might look for other opportunities in the form of TCS. But overall, are we heading much higher because one has to be in a sector or a stock where in long-term one can get a multi-digit return. So considering overall structure right now where TCS is, I do not think so there is any reason to hold for long-term."
"One should exit or probably get into some other sectors like FMCG or consumption which looks like more promising and can give much better returns," he said.
