Axis Securities's research report on Godrej IndGodrej Industries' (GIL) Q3FY16 consolidated adj. PAT at Rs 0.5bn was led by (1) Properties: PAT at Rs 520 mn (Rs 470mn in Q3FY15), driven by record sales and higher execution; (2) Overall healthy performance by GCPL (23% increase in PAT); and (3)Chemicals: EBIT of Rs 125 mn (loss of Rs 5 mn in Q3FY15) led by higher operating efficiencies and benign commodity prices. PBT of Godrej Agrovet declined25% YoY to Rs 430 mn due to poor monsoon and subdued commodity prices. We believe earnings will improve going forward, driven by market share gains and recent acquisitions. This along with higher profitability in Properties and cost savings at its new chemical plant should help GIL compound earnings at 25% over FY15-18.Maintain BUY with TP of Rs 441.For all recommendations, click here Disclaimer: The views and investment tips expressed by investment experts/broking houses/rating agencies on moneycontrol.com are their own, and not that of the website or its management.
