Bharat Forge rises 3% on $ 219 mn contract win from NTPC

Moneycontrol BureauShare prices of Bharat Forge advanced more than 3 percent intraday Wednesday as its arm signed a contract worth USD 219 million withNTPC.The company's arm Alstom Bharat Forge Power, a JV between GE and Bharat Forge, signed a contract with NTPC to supply two units of 800 MW ultra-supercritical steam turbine generators islands on EPC basis to NTPC's Telangana power plant.The equipment for the project will be manufactured majorly at Alstom Bharat Forge Power's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Sanand in Gujarat.At 11:27 hrs Bharat Forge was quoting at Rs 765, up Rs 16.25, or 2.17 percent on the BSE.Posted by Rakesh Patil
