New York Life will exit Indian insurance JV, however partner Max India will get 1/3rd of proceeds, reports The Economic Times.

Max India touched an intraday high of Rs 189.40 and an intraday low of Rs 179.95. At 09:25 hrs the share was quoting at Rs 186.25, up Rs 8.65, or 4.87%.

It was trading with volumes of 40,584 shares. In the previous trading session, the share closed up 2.87% or Rs 4.95 at Rs 177.60.
