Following the fall on Wednesday, rupee continued its decline on Thursday as well, weaker equities and weaker Euro being the major culprits. Spot finally settled at 49.22 Nifty continued its downtrend even on Thursday on weaker global cues and a timid response to the ONGC Auction. The Nifty saw a decline of 0.84% to finally settle at 5339 The Dollar Index rebounded after the Fed chairman in a congressional testimony gave no signal of considering additional measures to the economy.
