Warburg Pincus to buy 53.67% stake in Future Capital

Warburg Pincus will buy 53.67% stake in Future Capital Holdings from Future Group in 2 tranches. They will buy minimum of 40% stake in the company from Future Group and infuse Rs 100 crore equity into Future Capital, reports CNBC-TV18.

Warburg Pincus will hold 48% in FCH after preferential allotment by the company. It will make an open offer for 26% in Future Capital. They will buy stake in Future Capital at Rs 162 per share.

Future Capital Holdings touched an intraday high of Rs 149.95 and an intraday low of Rs 139.50. At 13:09 hrs the share was quoting at Rs 143.20, up Rs 6.20, or 4.53%.
 
It was trading with volumes of 1,332,199 shares, compared to its 5-day average of 136,140 shares, an increase of 878.55%.
 
In the previous trading session, the share closed down 4.03% or Rs 5.75 at Rs 137.00.
