Simplismart, a Bengaluru-based generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) startup, received a funding boost from Sheryl Sandberg after the former Meta chief operating officer (COO) invested in the company for a second time, The Times of India has reported.
Sandberg was part of a $7-million funding round led by Accel, the report said.
Moneycontrol couldn't verify the report independently.
The startup, founded in 2022 by Amritanshu Jain and Devansh Ghatak, is engaged in building a machine learning platform, which can be used for make custom models for newer applications without wring any codes.
The company has, so far, raised $7.14 million in two funding rounds, Tracxn’s latest data shows. The last seed round was held in July at a post-money valuation of $1.54 million, according to Tracxn.
The company could be valued at $35 million after the latest round, an Entrackr report said.
The firm has six major investors, including Accel, Anicut Capital, and Titan Capital, and serves in the B2B segment. The startup competes with Veritone, Comet, and DataRobot.
