Axis Mutual Fund appoints Mr Bapi Munshi as director

Axis Mutual Fund has announced that Mr Bapi Munshi has been appointed as director on board of directors of Axis Mutual Fund with effect from September 27, 2013.

Mr Bapi Munshi, associate director is 57 years old and is MSc. (IIT, Kharagpur). He is the president & chief risk officer of Axis Bank since October 2009. In his previous role, he headed the treasury department of Axis Bank from November 2008 to October 2009. Prior to this, as senior vice-president (risk), he was heading the risk function of Axis Bank.

Mr Munshi is also on board of Axis Finance.

The AMC has also announced that Mr Pankaj Murarka has been designated as Head-equities of Axis AMC.
