Mankind Pharma said on September 18 that its board will convene next week to consider a proposal to raise funds through the issuance of securities.

The board meeting is scheduled for September 20, where they will deliberate on raising capital through non-convertible debentures, commercial papers, or other forms of debt or equity securities.

"The Board of Directors of the Company will be held on September 20, 2024, inter-alia to consider and approve the raising of funds by way of issue of non-convertible debentures, commercial papers, other debt securities or any other security or any combination thereof for an amount as may be decided by the Board," said the intimation to the stock exchanges dated September 17.

Mankind Pharma did not specify the amount it is looking to to raise.

Mankind Pharma is known for manufacturing, and marketing a wide range of products and healthcare items, and had said in the past that is plans to grow consumer healthcare business through new launches and premium offerings.
