'Bullish on CV space; like Ashok Leyland, Advanta Seeds'

With the expected improvement in the economy in the second half of the fiscal year, Deven Choksey of KR Choksey Shares sees an uptick in the commercial vehicles segment on the back of infrastructure projects rolling out, along with expected interest rate cut. He is bullish on companies like Ashok Leyland and Tata Motors. He believes that the auto space in general will do better and the second quarter numbers posted by some of the companies in the space are rather good.

Choksey says the overall trend is positive and large companies that are showing good signs of growth are emerging as the winners.

He believes many of the midcap stocks are doing rather well. He likes Advanta Seeds, which came out with good set of numbers. He says given its presence in six continents, the company is likely to do well within the agro space.

Despite the recent negative news on Ranbaxy, he believes it is looking more promising than earlier due to its first-to-file products and also its deal with Sun Pharma.
