FMC submits probe report to govt on rally in guar futures

The forward markets commission (FMC) submitted a probe report to the government on the rally in guar futures, reports CNBC-TV18 quoting sources.

The forward markets commission (FMC) submitted a probe report to the government on the rally in guar futures, reports CNBC-TV18 quoting sources.

According to the report, 4,490 trading entities profited in the guar trade, while 9,254 entities incurred losses.

The report also said that major edible oil producers such as Ruchi Soya and Betul Oils made profits by trading in guar futures.

The FMC report goes on to say that companies earned a total of Rs 1,291 crore in guar futures trade. The FMC had banned guar futures on march 28 after prices surged over 450% from November.
