The Indian rupee opened at 45.62 per dollar versus 45.53 yesterday.

Pramit Brahmbhatt, Alpari India said that, "The rupee is likely to remain rangebound as the dollar is seen strong over the near-term. Weakness in global stock markets and poor data has impacted other major currencies. The range for the rupee is seen between 45.70-46.10/$ today."
