Outstanding Company of the Year award - Asian Paints. Since its foundation in 1942, Asian Paints has come a long way to become India’s Largest and Asia’s fourth-largest paint company. Since 1990, Asian Paints’ market cap has grown 300x. The brand has now become synonymous with beautiful walls. Going ahead, company plans to take its ‘Har Ghar Kuchh Kehta Hai’ narrative into home improvement solutions, fittings and kitchenware range via organic and inorganic routes.

Most Promising Company of the year award - Amara Raja Batteries. One of the leading manufacturers of automotive batteries under the brand Amaron and Powerzone, Amara Raja has grown its annual revenues from Rs 370 Cr in FY06 to INR 4,700Cr in FY16, a growth of 13X in 10 years. The company was founded by Ramchandra Galla in 1980 in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. In 2007, Galla was awarded Honorary Doctorate from Sri Venkateswara University in Tirupati and in 2008, Honorary Doctorate from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.

State of the Year - Andhra Pradesh. The state ranked top in the DIPP’s assessment in FY16 for implementation of business reforms with investor friendly policies such as faster and time-bound automated approvals, attractive fiscal incentives with simplified labour, environmental and tax regulations. Andhra Pradesh is on a mission to attract top dollar to build capital Amaravati from scratch. The state has a vision of becoming one of the 3 best states in India by the 75th year of India's independence.

Hall of Fame - RC Bhargava. A 1956 batch IAS topper and a Padma Bhushan awardee, R C Bhargava is one of the few who have been continuously associated with Maruti Suzuki since its inception 35 years ago. But before joining the carmaker Bhargava was with BHEL and NTPC. He worked as joint secretary in the central government, for four years he was in the Ministry of Energy and for little over one year in the Cabinet Secretariat.

Hall of Fame - Bimal Jalan. An alumnus of Cambridge and Oxford University, Bimal Jalan was a two-term Governor at the Reserve Bank of India, and had introduced the 1,000 rupee denomination note during his tenure. A Rajya Sabha member from 2003-09, Jalan has authored several books on economics including The Future of India, The Indian Economy: Problems And Prospects. Apart from serving as the Chief Economic Advisor, Finance Secretary and the Planning Commission, Jalan has also represented India on the Boards of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund.

Outstanding Contribution to Brand India- Dipa Karmakar. Dipa Karmakar, the girl who raised everybody’s hopes at the Rio Olympics, is the first Indian female gymnast to compete at the games. She attained the fourth position in Women’s Vault Gymnastics event at the summer Olympics in Rio. She is an inspiration to girls in India who wish to pursue gymnastics and gives them courage to compete in the next Olympics. Karmakar also bagged a bronze medal at the Asian Gymnastics Championships and finished fifth at the 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, both firsts for her country.

Outstanding Business Leader of the Year - Arundhati Bhattacharya. Arundhati Bhattacharya is first woman chief of India’s largest bank State Bank of India. She joined SBI as a direct recruit officer in 1977 and has since held top positions such as MD, Deputy MD and CFO of the bank across her 36-year tenure. Her experience spans across verticals such as human resource, international banking, corporate credit and financial inclusion. At SBI, Bhattacharya set up SBI General Insurance, SBI Macquarie Infrastructure Fund and SBI SG Securities and also turned SBI into a technology friendly bank.

Young Turks Startup of the Year - Tonbo Imaging. Tonbo builds real-time visual imaging and processing systems with the help of image processing and machine learning. Its products address the Rs 2 lakh crore smart enterprise market with applications spread across defence, surveillance and more. Arvind Lakshmikumar, CEO, Tonbo has served as a principal investigator and program director for international military and scientific programs. He started Tonbo with the objective to create high technology strategic imaging systems that are designed and made in India and made for the world.

Young Turk of the Year - Byju's. Launched in 2015, BYJU’s is India’s largest ed-tech company and the creator of India’s largest K-12 learning app which offers highly engaging and effective learning courses for students in classes 4-12 and competitive exams.  The app is a hit amongst students across age groups with 65 lakh downloads and 3 lakh annual paid subscriptions. Founder and CEO, Byju Raveendran has been a self-learner who developed different learning methods to understand concepts better while playing games.

Brand Campaign of the Year - Make Love Not Scars. Make Love Not Scars, a campaign by Ogilvy Ad Agency, is an initiative to end over-the-counter sale of acid in India and targets the youth. The campaign, started to address a petition, showed how easy it is to buy acid in India via a series of beauty video-logs (VLogs) by acid attack survivor Reshma. The campaign managed to generate PR worth Rs 114.75 crore at zero cost.

Brand of the Year - Maggi. After a five-month ban last year, Nestle’s Maggi made a spectacular return to the top slot gaining 57% market share with its Comeback campaign. Nestle India rolled out short films with #WeMissYouToo targeting their loyal customers during the ban. Once it got clearance from regulatory body, it released new short films featuring mothers and children who had always trusted the brand.

Apart from being active on social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, with an impressive fan following, the taxi aggregator also engages customers directly on its website through lucrative offers. The pace of increase in Ola’s customer base reinstates faith in the company and shows they are the market leaders in the cab aggregation industry.
