Huawei and China Unicom have jointly launched China’s first 10G broadband network in Sunan County, Hebei Province, marking a significant leap in internet infrastructure, Azernews reported, citing local tech outlet Mydrivers.
The high-speed network is powered by the cutting-edge 50G PON (Passive Optical Network) technology. Upgrades to the core architecture of the optical fiber access network have enabled a dramatic performance boost—pushing speeds from gigabit to 10G levels while slashing latency to just a few milliseconds.
