Centre keen to fund development projects in Puducherry: Bedi

Addressing the staff and officials of department of Electricity, Bedi said the Centre was very much inclined to sanction funds for various projects in the union territory.

Lt Governor Kiran Bedi today said the Centre was keen on ensuring that Puducherry emerged as one of the best union territories and was making funds available in this regard.

Addressing the staff and officials of department of Electricity, Bedi said the Centre was very much inclined to sanction funds for various projects in the union territory.

"Puducherry is moving towards becoming a smart city and the Centre is making available funds to ensure that it emerges as one of the best Union Territories," Bedi said.

"Puducherry Chief Minister (V Narayanasamy) is also playing a proactive role and we should thank him very much," she added.

Bedi made a power point presentation on issues related to the department highlighted by media and instructed the staff to function on fast track and ensure minimum power interruption.
