VIP Industries today reported 49.04 percent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 15.53 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2016-17.
The company had posted net profit of Rs 10.42 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
Its total income from operations increased by 5.52 percent to Rs 307.39 crore in the October-December quarter of 2016-17 as against Rs 291.30 crore in the year-ago period, VIP Industries said in a BSE filing.
Overall expenses of the company rose by 2.90 percent to Rs 284.70 crore, as against Rs 276.65 crore.
Meanwhile, the Board of Directors of the company have declared an interim dividend of 80 paise per equity share of Rs 2 each for FY 2016-17.
VIP Industries stock was trading 3.15 percent up at Rs 142.65 on BSE.
