Energy and environment engineering company Thermax is expected to report dismal performance for July-September quarter. Profit on standalone basis is likely to fall by 9.2 percent year-on-year to Rs 59 crore and revenue may slip 9.3 percent to Rs 959 crore in Q2, according to analysts polled by CNBC-TV18.

EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) may drop 13 percent to Rs 86 crore and margin is expected to be at 9 percent in Q2.

Likely weak order inflow may mean continuing decline in revenue for the quarter. With no major announced order inflows, analysts expect stagnancy in order book to continue.

Key factors to watch out for will be outlook on order inflows and guidance on loss reduction in subsidiaries.
