Shree Cement reported a slump third-quarter profit on January 30, hurt by weak prices and a slowdown in activity in a seasonally weak period.
The company’s consolidated net profit plunged 72.5% to Rs 193 crore in the quarter ended Dec. 31.
Total revenue from operations dropped 12% to Rs 4,573 crore.
On January 30, Shree Cement's shares on BSE closed 1% higher at Rs 26,918 apiece.
