NCC may report standalone profit of Rs 14.8 crore during October-December quarter against loss of Rs 7.3 crore in same quarter last year, according to a CNBC-TV18 poll. Profit may get additional boost from lower interest expense, with the rights issue leading to debt repayment.
Total income of the construction company may increase 22.4 percent to Rs 1,823 crore in Q3FY15 from Rs 1,489 crore in corresponding quarter of last fiscal, led by execution in buildings and house power project (at Nelcast power plant).
Execution may remain strong led by good progress in the company’s Nelcast power project.
Operating profit is seen rising 60.3 percent Y-o-Y to Rs 147 crore and margin may jump 190 basis points to 8.1 percent in the quarter gone by.
Company currently enjoys an order book of Rs 20,400 crore, which implies a healthy order book to bill ratio of 2.9 times.
What to watch out for:-Debt is likely to decline around Rs 600 crore Q-o-Q and hence, interest cost savings on sequential basis needs to be seen-Performance on the revenue growth front needs to be watched-Improvement in operating margin and working capital cycle needs to be monitored
