Inox Leisure Q3 net rises over 3-fold to Rs 13.19 crore

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 3.75 crore in the October-December period a year ago.

We are in the last phase of the September quarter earnings season, and the results announced by the BSE 500 companies so far have shown signs of a sharp recovery, as compared to the June quarter, when the economic activity in the country was compromised due to lockdown in various regions. From the BSE 500 list, 216 companies have announced their September quarter results so far.     Multiplex chain operator Inox Leisure reported an over three-fold increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 13.19 crore for the third quarter ended December 31.

    The company had posted a net profit of Rs 3.75 crore in the October-December period a year ago.

    Its total income grew by 9.56 per cent to Rs 328.85 crore in the quarter under review as against Rs 300.15 crore in the same period last fiscal, Inox Leisure said in a BSE filing.

    Total expenses during the quarter went up 4.89 per cent to Rs 308.58 crore as compared to Rs 294.17 crore in the same period last fiscal, the company added.

    Shares of Inox Leisure were trading at Rs 273 per scrip on BSE, up 2.21 per cent, from the previous close.
