GE Power India loss doubles to Rs 97 cr in Jul-Sept quarter

GE Power India standalone net loss widened to Rs 97.10 crore in the quarter ended on September 30, 2016 against that of Rs 48.02 crore in the same quarter of last fiscal.

    GE Power India standalone net loss widened to Rs 97.10 crore in the quarter ended on September 30, 2016 against that of Rs 48.02 crore in the same quarter of last fiscal.

    According to a statement, the company's total income from operations decreased to Rs 496.22 crore in the quarter under review compared to Rs 543.85 crore a year ago, GE Power India stated in a BSE filing today.

    GE Power India was formerly known as Alstom India Ltd. The share of company fell by 2.37 per cent to close at Rs 465.75 a piece at BSE today.

    The company's business falls within a single business segment--power generation.

    It stated that consequent to re-evaluation of tax risks (including related to recoverable balance) Rs 87.30 crore has been accounted for the quarter.
