    Essar Shipping Q2 loss widens to Rs 62 crore

    Essar Shipping has reported widening of its standalone loss to Rs 61.95 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016.

    The company had posted standalone loss after tax of Rs 40.79 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal, Essar Shipping said in a filing to BSE.

    The standalone total income from operations declined to Rs 160.6 crore from Rs 201 crore in the year-ago period.

    The total expenses declined to Rs 148.4 crore compared to Rs 220.8 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.
