Dish TV Q3 net loss may decline at Rs 5 cr: CNBC-TV18 Poll

Dish TV is likely to report a loss of Rs 5 crore in the third quarter of FY15 against loss of Rs 38 crore in the year-ago period, according to the average of estimates of analysts polled by CNBC-TV18.

Dish TV is likely to report a loss of Rs 5 crore in the third quarter of FY15 against loss of Rs 38 crore in the year-ago period, according to the average of estimates of analysts polled by CNBC-TV18.

Net sales of the direct to home (DTH) television operator is seen rising 14 percent to Rs 695 crore during October-December quarter from Rs 610 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.

Operating profit may jump 33 percent year-on-year to Rs 176 crore and margin may expand 370 basis points to 25.3 percent during the quarter, aided by lower set top box cost and stable content cost.

Factors to watch out for

Analysts expect addition of 3.5 lakh subscribers during the quarter against 3.8 lakh in previous quarter

ARPU is expected at Rs 175 versus Rs 172 Q-o-Q, led by 6 percent cumulative hikes in June and August

Analysts say lower competitive intensity during the festive season was positive for company.

Subscription revenue is expected to grow on subscribers and ARPU addition.

Churn rate is expected to be stable around 1 percent
