Dewan Housing Finance Q4 net up 14.8% at Rs 162.28 cr

    Mortgage lender Dewan Housing Finance Ltd on Wednesday reported 14.8 percent rise in net profit at Rs 162.28 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2014-15. Its net profit was Rs 141.17 crore in the January-March quarter of the previous fiscal, 2013-14, DHFL said in a BSE filing.

    The company's total income in the fourth quarter of last fiscal rose to Rs 1,582.47 crore, from Rs 1,417 crore in the year-ago period.

    For the entire 2014-15 fiscal, its net profit was up 17.4 percent to Rs 621.28 crore as compared to Rs 529 crore in the previous fiscal.

    The total income went up to Rs 5,981.63 crore last fiscal, from Rs 4,967.67 crore in 2013-14. Housing loans sanctioned during the year amounted to Rs 28,497.08 crore, as against Rs 22,377.61 crore in the previous fiscal, an increase of 27 percent .

    Shares of the company were trading at Rs 463.10 per unit, up 1.50 percent on the BSE.
