Air conditioner maker Blue Star on Tuesday reported 25.89 percent increase in its standalone net profit at Rs 39.04 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2015-16. The company had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 31.01 crore in the same period last financial year, Blue Star said in a filing to the BSE. Net sales during April-June, 2015-16 were at Rs 902.46 crore, as against Rs 832.2 crore in the same period of last fiscal, up 8.44 percent.
During the quarter, revenue from electro mechanical projects and packaged air-conditioning systems stood at Rs 327.08 crore, while revenue from cooling products were at Rs 556.21 crore, it added. Shares of Blue Star Ltd were trading at Rs 335.5 per scrip in the afternoon trade, up 1.39 percent from the previous close, on the BSE.
